Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division Expands Senior Management

Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating systems, has announced the promotion of Eric Dubin to lead its strategic accounts team, and the addition of Rod Olson to its engineering team.

Eric Dubin has been promoted from director of utility program development to senior director of strategic accounts and utilities. In his new role, Dubin oversees national sales support as well as the strategic accounts projects and account managers, including utility program managers. His responsibilities include development and deployment of sales strategy in order to maintain and increase key strategic accounts at the national level. He will also deploy a comprehensive strategy to work with the nation’s electric utilities to create beneficial incentive programs. Dubin previously served as the strategic accounts manager for Mitsubishi Electric’s Northeast region. Before joining the company in 2011, he held the position of director of government and regulatory affairs at Climate Energy ECR International, Medfield, Massachusetts. Dubin also worked in multiple positions for National Grid, Waltham, Massachusetts.

Dubin earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master of business administration from Boston University. He currently serves on the Cold Climate Air-Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Advisory Council of the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership (NEEP), Lexington, Massachusetts.

Rod Olson joins Mitsubishi Electric as senior director, controls engineering in the division’s Engineering Center, Suwanee, Georgia. In this role, Olson leads strategic planning, development and implementation of new and current initiatives for the division. He brings more than 20 years of experience in product development across several industries. Olson’s most recent experience was in the telecommunications and cable industry where he worked for Ericsson, Duluth, Georgia. He held director and senior director positions while working at CableLabs, Louisville, Colorado, and Americast, Los Angeles. Olson’s experience in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry includes development of next generation controls systems for Barber-Colman/Robertshaw (now Schneider Electric), Loves Park, Illinois and Richmond, Virginia.

Olson studied electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Rockford University, Rockford, Illinois.
